WILLITS — CHP officers are currently responding to a solo vehicle rollover on the Willits grade south of Willits, in the area between the Harris rock quarry and the Howard Forest station. The vehicle is a black Volkswagon Jetta that rolled over at around 2pm, and California Department of Forestry staff were first to respond. CHP is putting traffic controls in place until the vehicle can be removed but there do not appear to be any injuries and other units have been called off from responding. As of 2:13pm the vehicle is reported to be on the edge of the asphalt.
There is also a currently developing traffic hazard on the Willits bypass but no further information is currently available.
We’ll update as more information becomes available. Be careful on the roads with inclement winter weather because many people are traveling today and tomorrow. You can check the current status of road conditions here, the current status of any CHP incidents here, and current weather here.
