MENDOCINO Co. 2/16/2017 — Rt 1 has a lot going on this morning, from a failing culvert near Elk to a tree down just north of Mendocino. Work on the slide near Leggett and the Navarro River Bridge continues.
There is one-way traffic on Rt 1 just north of Elk, due to a failing culvert. CalTrans asks motorists to check traffic conditions before traveling in the area, as heavy rains may cause a full closure. Rt one near Legget is still fully closed, due to slide removal.
The flagging operation just north of Leggett at the Ca. Division of Forestry continues, due to emergency work.
CalTrans is still working on removing the log jam at the Navarro River Bridge on Rt 1. Motorists report that CalTrans accurately predicted 30-minute delays, due to heavy equipment on the bridge.
There is a tree down in the northbound lane of Rt 1/Point Cabrillo Drive, just north of Mendocino.
To the south, the westbound land of 128 is closed, west of Cloverdale Blvd, due to pile driving.
