MENDOCINO Co. 3.21.2017 — There have been a couple of traffic incidents early this morning, and rain and thunderstorms with small hail are possible around the county today.
A phone line and power pole came down on Highway 271 near the junction with 101 at Leggett late last night, causing a traffic hazard. As of 2:41am, Frontier’s ETA was seven hours. CalTrans was dispatched to the scene at 6:35am.
A vehicle hit a fence on Highway 20, east of Fort Bragg at mile marker 11.82 shortly before 7am and was partially blocking the road.
Another vehicle hit an embankment on Highway 101 at Reeves Canyon Road in Redwood Valley shortly before 6am. No injuries were reported.

There is a small craft advisory from 9am today, with near gale force winds becoming low end gales across the northern outer waters.
In Point Arena, there is a 60% chance of showers today, increasing to 80% tonight with up to three-quarters of an inch of rain. Forecast is mostly cloudy, with steady temperatures of 54 falling to a low of 53 tonight.
In Fort Bragg, there is a 70% chance of showers, increasing to 80% with up to half an inch of rain. Cloudy, with a high near 60 and a low around 51 tonight.
In Willits, there is a 70% chance of showers, increasing to 80% tonight, with up to half an inch of rain. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 58 and a low around 47.
In Ukiah, there is a 60% chance of rain, increasing to 80% tonight with half of an inch possible. The high is predicted to be around 62, dropping to 48 tonight.
