Nov. mental health meetings — BHAB Finance and MHSA public forum (press release)

A BHAB finance meeting in Ukiah on Nov. 29 and a MHSA meeting on Nov. 30 in Covelo.


There are two HHSA meetings on the county’s mental health services coming up before the end of November. Both meetings are a good opportunity for members of the public to attend, learn about current activities with mental health services, and provide public comment.

The first meeting, the standing finance committee meeting for the Behavioral Health Advisory Board, takes places at 4pm on Tuesday, November 29 in Ukiah. The second, a meeting on current updates to the Mental Health Services Act, will take place at 10:30am on Wednesday, Nov. 30, in Covelo. The full press releases with meeting information is below.

Mendocino County Behavioral Health Advisory Board (BHAB) Standing Finance Committee Meeting

 The BHAB Standing Finance Committee meeting will be held on Tuesday, November 29, 2016, at Ford Street Project Conference Room, located at 139 Ford Street in Ukiah, from 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

The meeting is intended for members of the public who are interested in supporting their local mental health services system. Community members are encouraged to attend the meeting to ask questions, obtain information and provide feedback.

Mendocino County Mental Health Services Act (MHSA) Public Forum on Children & Families, Youth & Transitional Age Youth, Adults, and Older Adults

 The Mendocino County Mental Health Services Act (MHSA) Public Forum will be held on Wednesday, November 30, 2016, from 10:30a.m. to 12:30p.m.This meeting will take place at Yuki Trails Human Services, located at 23000 Henderson Road in Covelo.

This meeting is similar to a town hall meeting where anyone can attend. Members of the public, consumers, family members, and community agencies are encouraged to attend to provide suggestions, ideas, and feedback on existing and needed Mental Health Services Act programs.

You are welcome to join us in a friendly and safe environment. Light refreshments are provided.
