Synopsis:
On 12-14-2016 at approximately 7:50 A.M., Deputies from the Mendocino County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to a vehicle vandalism at a residence in the 2000 block of Goose Road in Willits, California.
Deputies responded to investigate and met with an adult female who advised Devin Nielson had just left the residence after the pair had an argument. After that time, the adult female discovered her vehicle had been vandalized when Nielson was outside of the resdience.
Deputies examined the vehicle and found significant damage to the hood, exterior mirror, and to the door. Based on the investigation, it was determined there was more than $400.00 in damage to the vehicle.
Deputies developed information that Nielson may have been transported to his residence in Laytonville, California.
Deputies responded to Laytonville and spoke with Nielson about this investigation. Nielson was subsequently placed under arrest for 594(b)(1) PC (Felony Vandalism).
Nielson was booked into the Mendocino County Jail where he was to be held in lieu of $15,000.00 bail.
