Synopsis: On 12/29/2016 Deputies from the Mendocino County Sheriff’s Officer were summoned to the report of a burglary in the Covelo area. Deputies arrived and found the business office of the Round Valley Community Rodeo Grounds had been broken into. Further investigation revealed suspect(s) had used a large brick to smash a window. Taken from the office was a back pack and a game console.
Deputies continued to investigate this crime and eventually located a vehicle associated with the crime. The vehicle was seen traveling to a residence on Yuki Ave. in Covelo. Deputies arrived at this location and contacted Tevin Hoaglen who stated he had been driving the vehicle. Deputies located the stolen property in the vehicle. Further investigation revealed Hoaglen was responsible for the crime.
Hoaglen was transported and booked into the Mendocino County jail on charges of burglary and possession of stolen property. Hoaglen is held on $15,000.00 bail.Approved by: Lieutenant Shannon Barney
