MENDOCINO Co. 1/20/2017 — With heavy rains causing the Garcia River near Manchester to flood the nearby Route 1 regularly, CalTrans has installed a traffic camera at the location. Be advised that the photos are black during nighttime and early morning hours.
There are a few traffic hazards this morning. As of 6:21am, a tree is blocking the road on Hwy 20 between Willits and Fort Bragg, east of Parlin Fork Conservation Camp. Another tree is blocking the entire road at 886 Dos Rios Road, just north of 162, as of 7:07am.
As of 6:31am, there is an unspecified traffic hazard in the eastbound lane of Hwy 20 at Marina Drive near Calpella. MendocinoSportsPlus reported debris in the westbound lane of Hwy 20 near Irmulco Road, in Willits.
A vehicle struck a phone pole at West Road/East School Way, just north of Eagle Peak middle school in Redwood Valley, shortly before 6:30am. The pole and the vehicle were damaged, though no injuries were reported. No lines were reported to be down at that location.
