MENDOCINO C. 3/2/2017 — There have been a couple of accidents on the icy roads this morning. A vehicle hit black ice and spun out on Hwy 101 at mile marker 77 at Bowman Place, north of Laytonville. CHP reported the male subject was out of the car and walking. The vehicle does not present a traffic hazard. An ambulance was en route, as of 6:58am.
A white Mazda struck a tree about 20 feet off the road on the Comptche Ukiah Road/State Route 1, between Mendocino and Little River. According to the CHP report, the subject was still in the vehicle and “looks asleep.” An ambulance was en route, as of 7:02am.
