MENDOCINO Co., 4/14/2017 — There are a couple of obstacles in the roads this morning. Mountain View Road is blocked by a slide at mile marker 14.10, about halfway between Route 128 and the coast. CHP expects the road to be closed most of the day.
At 4:44am, CHP received a report of a small tree blocking both lanes of Route 20 on a blind curve at mile marker 22, between Willits and Fort Bragg. However, there is a large gravel turnout that vehicles can use to get around the tree. Shortly after 5am, CalTrans’ estimated time of arrival was 45 minutes.

The next storm system at sea is expected Sunday, with gusty southeast winds. Today, the forecast at sea is northwest winds 5 to 15 knots, with waves west 9 feet at 13 seconds and a chance of showers. Tonight, winds are expected to shift to the north, at 10 to 15 knots with waves northwest 3 feet at 3 seconds and northwest 8 feet at 12 seconds.
