MENDOCINO Co., 5/26/2017 — There’s a lot going on in CalTrans District 1 in the near future, from preparing to widen the 101 at Richardson Grove in Humboldt, to issuing permits for the Kinetic Grand Championship, also in Humboldt.
There is also roadwork on Route 20 west of Willits, from Gino’s to the passing lane.
There are two ongoing one-way traffic operations on Route 1. One is a quarter mile south of Solider’s Point Viaduct near Rockport. The other is half a mile south of Wages Creek Bridge.
Here’s a list of upcoming roadwork for next week, though only emergency repairs will take place May 26 through May 29, Memorial Day weekend.
Route 20 (34.9/38.0) Caltrans will perform routine maintenance from Road A to East Side Potter Valley Road beginning Tuesday, May 30. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. weekdays. Motorists should anticipate 5-minute delays. LC#S20BA
Route 101 (4.5/5.0) – Routine maintenance near Frog Woman Rock will continue. Northbound traffic will be restricted to one lane 24 hours per day, 7 days per week. Motorists should anticipate minor traffic slowdowns. LC#M101GA
Route 101 (33.9/40.4) – Guardrail repairs from Uva Drive to the Willits CAL FIRE station will begin Wednesday, May 31. Traffic will be restricted to one lane in both directions from 5 a.m. to 8 p.m. weekdays. Motorists should anticipate minor traffic slowdowns. LC#C101PD
Route 101 (37.0/39.4) – Storm damage repairs south of Ridgewood Ranch Road will continue. Southbound traffic will be restricted to one lane 24 hours per day, 7 days per week. Motorists should anticipate minor traffic slowdowns. LC#S101GA
Route 101 (85.9/86.1) – Emergency slide removal near Hermitage Vista Point will continue. Northbound traffic will be reduced to one lane 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. weekdays. Motorists should anticipate minor traffic slowdowns. LC#C101LD
Route 101 (91.30/99.4) – Rumble strip installation at various locations from the junction of Routes 1/101 to Confusion Hill will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. weekdays. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays. LC#C101KC
Route 101 (97.1) – Emergency slide removal near the Dora Creek Bridge will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect 24 hours per day, 7 days per week. Motorists should anticipate 20-minute delays from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. weekdays, and 15-minute delays at other times. LC#C101KD
Route 101 (103.8/105.4) – Emergency slide removal near Piercy will continue. Traffic will be reduced to one lane in both directions 24 hours per day, seven days per week. Motorists should anticipate minor traffic slowdowns. LC#C101AD
Route 128 (39.5) – Roadway repairs west of Yorkville will continue. One-way traffic control with a temporary traffic signal will be in effect 24 hours per day, 7 days per week. Motorists should anticipate 5-minute delays. LC#C128KA
Route 162 (16.2) – Emergency storm damage repairs near The Middle Way will continue. One-way traffic control with temporary stop signs will be in effect 24 hours per day, 7 days per week. Motorists should anticipate 5-minute delays. LC#C162JA
