WILLITS, CA., 6/04/17 — In case you have listened — we have a radio show on Willits’ new community radio station, KLLG! This week was a little crazy — we were down one staff member, and we didn’t get a lot of sleep — so we might be a little rambly. If you’ve missed our earlier episodes, we’ll be posting them after the show airs on our website and our Soundcloud account, so you can listen anytime. We discuss the news of the week, give some background commentary on how the journalism sausage gets made, and feature guest experts on special topics related to Mendo news.
One note: we’re still working on a good name, so we’re open to any suggestions! You can also contact us with news tips anytime at [email protected].
This week, we talked about recent cannabis farm raids, Gov. Brown’s work on climate change, developments in the homicide of Jamie Shipman, new electric chargers around the county, and much more! When you listen, you should know that we recorded the show on the afternoon of June 2, after which we received some additional updates about the cannabis raids, you can see here, so keep that in mind as you’re listening.
Here you go! Let us know what you think and what guests you like to hear on our future shows.
