The panel discussion will examine how to best develop regulations for commercial cannabis businesses in Fort Bragg, includes the Fort Bragg Mayor Lindy Peters, City Councilman Bernie Norvell & Executive Director of Americans for Safe Access, Steph Sherer, who will be participating via Skype. Hosted by Jude Thilman, of Dragonfly Wellness, the panel will discuss topics such as odor control, access, multi-use zoning, and what types of visibility should be allowed for cannabis businesses.
Members of the public are welcome to attend, and those watching online can submit questions by phone or internet. You can call in with questions or comments at 707.964.0101 or log in at Mendocino TV’s website. The event takes place from 7 – 9pm in the studios of Mendocino TV, located at 303 N Main St B, Fort Bragg, CA in the back of the building.
In an event announcement, Thilman urged members of the public to participate in order to help shape what kind of local cannabis industry they’d like to see on the coast. “Whether you are in the city or not, every local regulation scheme affects the surrounding area and spreads either a supportive, embracing attitude toward cannabis — or a continuation of the “criminalization” of our community by perpetuating prohibition-era ideas” she wrote.
