MENDOCINO CO., 10/24/17 — The inaugural Mendocino County Homebrew Festival takes place November 4, featuring over fifty different brews from Mendo’s homebrew aficionados competing for awards as part of the annual Mushroom, Wine, and Beer Festival. Proceeds from the tickets will go to the Good Farm Fund, as part of a fundraiser to support farms impacted by the fires.
The Homebrew Fest includes at least 30 different brewers, love music, and a farm-to-table dinner prepared by students from Mendocino College’s Culinary Arts program. The attendees will get to vote for their favorite brew in the People’s Choice Awards for first, second, and third categories.
The Homebrew Festival will also include the Brewer’s Choice Awards, selected by Scott Jones from the Ukiah Brewing Company. Jones will host the winning brewer at the pub for the day and share tips about using commercial brewing equipment. Attendees will get to taste the winning Brewer’s Choice brew at the event.
The Festival takes place Saturday, Nov. 4 at the Ukiah Valley Conference Center from 2 – 6pm, 2-3pm is for VIP ticket holders only. You can get more information here. Proceeds will go to the Good Farm Fund, a non-profit which “provides direct economic development support to small farmers in Mendocino and Lake Counties. All proceeds from ticket sales for this event will go directly to an emergency fund for farms affected by the recent fires. More information at www.goodfarmfund.org.”
