WILLITS, CA, 10/03/18 — As part of our continuing series of “Meet the Candidate” interviews, we interviewed Jeremy Hershman, candidate for Willits City Council, yesterday evening, Oct. 2. The interview was streamed live, on Facebook, and is being reposted here for anyone who missed it.
The general election will be held on Tuesday Nov. 6, but mail-in ballots will be sent out in the next couple weeks. Hershman is running against two other candidates, Greta Kanne and the incumbent Larry Stranske, for two seats on the Willits City Council. Here’s the complete county-wide list of city council candidates; we’ll be interviewing as many as possible before the voter registration deadline on October 22. There will be a debate at Willits City Hall on Thursday, October 4 from 6:30 to 9 p.m. with the two District 3 supervisor candidates, John Pinches and John Haschak, and the three city council candidates so you can learn more about them. You can also read our full 2018 election coverage here.
The interview clocks in at about 25 minutes, and we cover a variety of topics important to Willits. The interview was conducted at Hershman’s home in Willits, by Adrian Fernandez Baumann, managing editor of the Mendo Voice.
