WILLITS, 8/5/18 — Yesterday evening, at the Willits City Hall, two debates were held: one with the three contenders for two seats on the Willits City Council, and a rematch between candidates John Pinches and John Haschak for Mendocino County Third District supervisor.
The forum was well attended with about 100 people showing up — but it was also a lovely post-rain evening and most people are tired after work, so you probably didn’t go. But don’t worry, that’s why we’re here — we go to the events that you don’t want to, and then live stream them so you can watch later, or just listen on your phone.
Here is the District 3 debate, it runs for about an hour and fifteen minutes. The candidates are John Haschak, a Willits school teacher and long standing head of the Willits teachers’ union; and John Pinches, a north county rancher and three term supervisor.
And here is the Willits City Council debate, which runs about an hour. The candidates are, from left to right, Jeremy Hershman, Greta Kanne, and incumbent Larry Stranske.
