UPDATE 11:40 a.m. — The 101 between Laytonville and Leggett is now open, however, it is closed near the junction with State Route 1, due to downed trees, as you can see from CalTrans’ tweet.
Some people are reporting that there may be one way traffic control in that area, but we are unable to verify that. PG&E seems to be on the job.

WILLITS, 2/10/19 — The California Highway Patrol has closed U.S. Route 101 north of Laytonville, to Leggett, due to heavy snow conditions. Additionally, a power line has fallen and workers are trying to clear and repair that amid inclement conditions.
It was snowing on the valley floor in Willits, and throughout the region, as cold wintery weather continues to blanket the North Coast. Snow fell at sea level in Eureka and Arcata, in Humboldt County, a rare occurrence.
The roads around the region are slick and dangerous, please exercise caution.
