MENDOCINO Co., 6/13/19 — Mendocino County has received grant funding to help with hazardous tree removal on private properties within the Redwood Fire burn scar.
The hazardous tree removal program provides some assistance to remove dead and drying trees in the areas of the 2017 Redwood Fire burn, and the trees must be approved by a certified forester before deemed eligible for the program. Property owners must be able to either contribute at least $200 towards the removal of the tree or agree to dispose of the wood once cut.
