ORIGINAL
9/3/19 — A motorhome carrying at least two people went off the side of the road and down a small cliff, while driving down State Route 1. There was at least one major injury, and a person may have been helicoptered out to a hospital. The RV tumbled only about 15 feet over the edge, and there is no word on the current condition of the severely injured person.
The Albion Little River Fire Department requested mutual aid from nearby departments for assistance with extrication. The department declined an offer of a cliff rescue engine, saying they just needed an engine with extraction tools.
The accident occurred south of Albion and north of the junction with State Route 128, near the intersection with Navarro Ridge Road.
