MENDOCINO Co., 9/21/19 — Do you have opinions about how cannabis fits into the future of economic development in Mendocino County? Then you might want to head over to Ukiah, Saturday, October 5 and join in the discussion at a town hall event with the Mendocino County Supervisors’ Cannabis Economic Development Ad Committee, Planning & Building Director Brett Schultz, and the Mendocino Cannabis Alliance.
The event will take place at the Ukiah Conference Center from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. and focus on how the cannabis industry and economic development in Mendocino County. The county’s deadline for Phase 1 cannabis cultivation permits is coming up on October 4, and the Board of Supervisors are considering a number of issues concerning the cannabis industry in the coming months, including a potential hemp ordinance. The town hall is intended to provide a forum for the public to provide input to the supervisors.
