Jesse Cole Wells, a suspect in the killing of Laytonville resident Jeffrey Settler, was arrested today by South Lake Tahoe police, with assistance from the Mendo sheriffs
Frederick Gaestel is the fifth suspect arrested in the homicide of Jeffrey Settler.
The four defendants did not enter a plea in the slaying of a Laytonville grower, because their lawyers are still in the process of discovery.
Another development in the hunt for Jeffery Settler’s murderers. Michael Kane was taken into custody on charges of murder, after turning himself in at the U.S. border with Mexico.
