MENDOCINO Co. 4/5/2017 — Roads are clear this morning, except for several ongoing projects:
Drainage work is ongoing on Highway 162 at The Middle Way near Indian Springs Dos Rios. Route 1 near Leggett is still fully closed from Mill Bank Resort to South Fork Eel River. One-way traffic continues on Route 101 near Dora Creek Bridge, at the northern end of the county. One of four lanes on Route 101 is still closed, from 1.5 miles north of Benbow Drive to .25 miles south of South Fork Eel River Bridge 4-155.
CHP reported a dead skunk in the street at South State Street and Oak Knoll Road in Ukiah.

At sea, the small craft advisory has been extended until Saturday night. Gale force winds are expected for Thursday night, with larger seas Friday morning. Today, the south winds are 5 to 15 knots, shifting tonight to southeast winds 10 to 20 knots and gusts as high as 30 knots. Today the waves are west 8 feet at 14 seconds, shifting to south 6 feet at 3 seconds and west 10 feet at 14 seconds. There is a chance of rain at sea tonight.
In Point Arena, the forecast for today is mostly sunny, with a high around 59, dipping slightly to 51 tonight. There is a 20% chance of rain after 11pm. A southeast wind is expected to blow 9 to 11 miles per hour.
In Fort Bragg, the forecast is partly sunny, with a high around 61, dropping to 47 tonight. A light east southeast wind of 5 to 8 miles per hour is expected to become south in the afternoon, then south southeast again at night. There is a 30% chance of rain after 11pm.
In Willits, the forecast is partly sunny, with a high around 68, dropping to 43 tonight. A light and variable wind is expected to become southeast 6 to 8 miles per hour tonight. There is a 20% chance of rain after 11pm.
In Ukiah, the forecast is mostly sunny, with a high of 73 dropping to 48 tonight. A calm south wind in the afternoon is expected to become southeast, around 7 miles per hour, in the evening.
