One person killed in shoot out with police in Ukiah

A hostage situation turned violent.

UPDATE: 12/22/17 — The Ukiah Police department has confirmed that one suspect was killed during a shoot out with police last night. The police have not confirmed that the fatal shot came from an officer, but have begun the protocol for dealing with a situation where an officer kills a suspect.

MENDOCINO Co., 12/21/17 — An hostage situation turned into a stand-off between police and multiple armed suspects late Thursday night, and may have resulted in the death of at least one suspect, according to scanner traffic.

The stand-off began sometime around 8:00pm at the Sunrise Inn, in Ukiah, the causes is unknown. The SWAT team team arrive at around 8:20pm Scanner traffic indicates that one of the suspects, a woman, may have been killed, but this is not yet confirmed.

  1. It looks like the police are on damage control I happened to be in jail last night the talk with the c.o was not accurate at all they said a woman shot another person calling it a possible 187 anywaysthank you for your unbias report i cant find any news in the journal
